- A returning customer from a new development in Moore’s Mill contacted us to create a maintenance-free, clean space for their child to play on. The client wanted a solution that required minimal upkeep while providing a safe, comfortable environment for outdoor play. Artificial grass was the ideal option. The turf would eliminate the need for mowing, watering, or fertilizing, providing a durable, child-friendly surface that could handle heavy use.
We installed high-quality artificial grass throughout the play area, ensuring proper drainage and a seamless appearance. We designed the turf to be both functional and visually appealing, offering a soft, resilient surface that could withstand daily play. We took extra care to securely anchor and position the turf, especially in areas with high foot traffic. With the new artificial turf in place, the family now enjoys a beautiful, low-maintenance outdoor space. Challenges:
- Installing artificial grass comes with several challenges, especially when working with uneven or sloped ground. The first step is to remove all the existing sod, which requires a lot of effort. After the sod is cleared, creating a stable base becomes essential. For playgrounds or high-traffic areas, this base needs to be level and durable, which can be difficult on slopes. In this particular project, the steep incline demanded extra care to ensure the surface was smooth and even, despite the natural grade of the land. The slope made it harder to achieve a flat base, so we had to focus on grading carefully to ensure proper drainage and prevent water from pooling.
Limited access to the site also made it harder to transport materials and equipment, adding another challenge. Despite these obstacles, we successfully installed the artificial grass, creating a seamless, resilient surface. The final result is a safe, low-maintenance area that’s both functional and visually appealing for outdoor activities.
